Senior Project Manager
A leading heavy civil and transportation infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects in the Pittsburgh region. The ideal candidate will provide overall project leadership, budget and schedule control, and guidance to multiple project teams while driving collaboration and execution excellence across design-build and alternative delivery projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full project oversight, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence across multiple concurrent projects
  • Lead project management processes, establish performance standards, and facilitate coordination among project teams
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor readiness, productivity, and quality in accordance with contract specifications
  • Manage monthly cost control reviews, project forecasts, and schedule progress meetings
  • Lead negotiation and administration of subcontractor claims and change orders
  • Review invoices, progress documentation, and subcontractor work performance for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate with design teams, developers, and agency representatives to resolve technical and commercial issues
  • Support strategic planning and mentoring of project management staff across assigned projects

Top Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project management for heavy highway, bridge, or civil infrastructure projects (>$150M preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, claims, and change orders
  • Experience with P3 or alternative delivery methods preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6; familiarity with Viewpoint and HCSS a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
