The Senior Project Manager at Kato Roofing leads the planning, coordination, and execution of complex
commercial roofing projects from inception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time,
within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager serves
as a key liaison between clients, field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless
communication and operational excellence.



Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Build, Lead and mentor a team of project managers and estimators to achieve company
goals.
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities based on individual expertise, field experience, and project
requirements.
  • Provides leadership, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of accountability,
safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordination with internal field staff and subcontractors, monitoring capacity and advising
leadership in growth planning.


Essential Functions

  • Oversees multiple roofing and construction projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance
    with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
    • Coordination with General Contractors, building ownership, facility management and other trades.
    • Develops detailed project plans, aligns schedules, and budgets in collaboration with estimators, Safety
    Manager, coordinators, administration, accounting, and Superintendents.
    • Conducts project cost analyses, monitors expenses, and manages change orders to maintain
    profitability.
    • Performs risk assessments and proactively addresses potential project issues; recommends adjustments
    or alternative solutions as needed.
    • Coordinates procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
    • Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors throughout all project
    phases.
    • Collaborates with sales, estimating, and operations teams to align project scope with client expectations
    and company capabilities.
    • Monitors project progress through site visits and regular reporting; ensures work meets company
    quality and safety standards.
    • Enforces compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations, as well as KRI’s internal safety and quality
    policies.
  • Facilitates project close-out processes, including inspections, punch lists, warranties,
    and client handoffs.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to support company operations and strategic growth.
    • Understanding of and commitment to customer service and KRI's core values.
    • Lead Project Contract handoff meetings between Estimators, Sales, and Project managers
    • Oversees individual and aggregate Project Budgeting and Projections

Work Environment


This position operates some of the time in a typical office environment, spending time at a desk, typing at a computer, talking with people in person and on the phone, taking notes, and using standard office equipment. The job also requires job site visits.


Physical Demands

Frequent visits to job sites; must be able to work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and varying weather.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer when in the office.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday. Longer hours, evenings,
and weekend work as necessary


Travel
Travel to job sites in the region is required.


Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial roofing or general construction.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification a plus.
  • 5+ years' industry knowledge and experience.
  • 2-3+ years' experience managing a small to mid-sized team.
  • 2+ years' experience working in a Leadership capacity.
