About the Role:
Techner is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Network Deployment to lead end-to-end Verizon deployment and modernization programs. This role requires a strong technical and delivery background across transport upgrades, hub/CRAN deployments, router modernization, and small-cell/RAN initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Verizon standards, tools, and workflows, and a proven ability to deliver complex, multi-site programs with first-pass acceptance and high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end Verizon network deployment programs, including 1G→10G transport upgrades, hub/CRAN router deployments, small-cell/RAN rollouts, and dark fiber builds.
- Own full project lifecycle from intake through planning, execution, acceptance, and close-out.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, field operations, integration, and vendors.
- Provide technical oversight across transport networks, router configurations (Cisco/Nokia), and timing systems (GPS/GNSS).
- Review and validate configurations, test results, and as-built documentation to ensure deployment readiness and compliance.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and change activities, including mitigation and rollback planning during cutovers.
- Lead readiness calls, cutover coordination, and stakeholder communications across multiple teams.
- Ensure compliance with Verizon standards, processes, and acceptance criteria.
- Track progress, risks, and milestones using Microsoft Project and internal delivery tools.
- Prepare and submit complete close-out and acceptance packages with accurate reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in network deployment and/or technical project management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Verizon deployment programs, including transport, hub/CRAN, and router modernization.
- Solid understanding of backhaul/transport networks, LAG, QoS, adjacency validation, and timing systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site deployments with first-pass acceptance.
- Experience with Verizon tools such as Fuze, SPM, IOP, and ENM.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and execution skills.
- Experience with OneFiber, transport modernization, or network decommissioning projects.
- Background in field operations, integration, RF coordination, or drive testing.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.

Pay: $130,573.05 - $150,872.92 per year
