Responsibilities

• Work on design and supervision projects associated with wastewater, stormwater, and water engineering, including investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction management.
• Manage project delivery and execution, including planning and control.
• Determine budgets, timelines, and cost estimates for design and construction, and manage project financials.
• Develop project programs and execution plans.
• Provide internal and external project reporting.
• Contract management and reporting, including preparation of claims and variation orders and extensions of times.
• Oversee the construction phase and liaise with contractors and developers.
• Prepare contracts and manage sub consultants.
• Ensure quality and HSE assurance and oversee technical delivery.
• Ensure budgets and schedules are followed and understand client requirements and processes.
• Coordinate with design managers on all stages of the design process from concept to detail design and tender.
• Review key project deliverables, including key technical reports and submittals.
• Handle project correspondence and work with engineers to solve design problems.
• Liaise with cross functional teams to facilitate task completion and project progress.
• Prepare winning bids, estimate effort and price proposals for design, construction supervision, and owner engineering services.
• Manage client service, maintain relationships, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Follow safe work practices, adhere to company policies and procedures, and complete work in line with Stantec Core Values and Quality Systems.
• Design for safety, including construction design management.
• Perform other duties as requested to maintain business continuity and development.

Qualifications

• 18-20 years of experience, including at least 5 years of consultancy experience in wet utilities projects with top international engineering consulting firms in Dubai.
• Experience working with Dubai Municipality and private developers' projects in Dubai.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Chartered ICE or PE engineer.
• Professional certification or degree in Project Management.
• Excellent command of English, oral and written.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload with close attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and review work regularly while meeting objectives.
• Strong team working capabilities and commitment to work with all levels of management.
• Proactive approach to coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility.
• Commitment to punctuality, attentiveness, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices.
