Senior Purchase Engineer

• Thorough understanding of packaging and pharma machinery construction, assemblies, and working principles.
• Procure machine parts such as SS/MS fabricated items, shafts, cams, gears, conveyors, change parts, nozzles, star wheels, sealing jaws, sensors, motors, gearboxes, PLC panels, pneumatics, and bearings.
• Read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications accurately.
• Suggest alternate materials, vendors, and makes based on machine functionality and cost optimization.
• Develop and manage vendors for machining, fabrication, electrical, pneumatic, and automation items.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery aligned with production plans.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Production, Design, and Stores teams.
• Ensure availability of critical machine components to avoid production stoppages.
• Monitor inventory levels and prevent shortages, excess stock, or obsolescence.
• Ensure procured materials comply with technical and quality requirements.
• Coordinate incoming material inspection and handle rejection or rework issues.
• Maintain approved vendor and material lists.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor performance data, and MIS reports.
• Excel-based systems regularly.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
