Senior Purchasing Engineer

• Handle internal staff requisitions.
• Issue purchase orders for local and international markets in line with the company’s procurement cycle.
• Analyze supplier offers to select the best in terms of quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Track purchase orders from issuance to delivery, ensuring timely payments.
• Review and verify commercial documentation before submitting to the Finance department.
• Maintain and update purchasing follow-up reports regularly.
• Monitor departmental budgets and control procurement expenses.
• Evaluate internal supplier lists on a semi-annual basis.
• Ensure subcontractors submit required prevention plans.
• Support suppliers in meeting quality improvement plans.
• Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods and materials.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

BSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5-7 years of experience in procurement or operations
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to change
Alexandria resident is a must
Preferably experienced in water and wastewater treatment industry
Solid background in mechanical/electrical maintenance is a plus
