Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Senior Executive – Purchase to manage procurement activities of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other items, including import procurement. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, vendor management capabilities, and working knowledge of ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers (domestic & international).
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
• Handle import procurement: incoterms, documentation, LC, customs clearance, and coordination with freight forwarders.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Resolve vendor disputes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Update procurement data in ERP/MIS systems and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Coordinate with production, stores, quality, and finance teams.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong negotiation & vendor management skills
• Knowledge of import procurement and international trade practices
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Team player with a problem-solving approach

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or Science
• MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Materials Management (preferred)
• Certification in Import/Export or International Trade (a plus)
