Senior Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities

· Lead procurement of BOM (steel, forgings, machining inputs) and non-BOM materials.

· Ensure timely material availability for forging & machining operations.

· Develop procurement strategies aligned with cost and production goals.

· Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers; negotiate pricing and contracts.

· Drive cost reduction while ensuring quality and compliance.

· Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and finance teams.

· Maintain optimal inventory and manage ERP-based procurement systems.

· Support new product development through material sourcing.

Required Qualifications & Skills (Short)

· Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production/Supply Chain (MBA preferred).

· 12–15 years’ experience in automobile steel procurement.

· Strong knowledge of forging, machining, steel grades.

· Expertise in vendor negotiation, ERP, and MS Excel.

· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
