- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the company acquires goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyze market trends, and evaluate pricing options to select the most cost-effective suppliers without compromising quality.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
- Contract & Tender Management: Prepare, issue, and manage requests for proposals, invitations to tender, and related documents to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor and control the purchasing budget, track expenses, and perform cost analyses to ensure purchases remain within budget and offer value for money.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels and purchase materials accordingly, coordinating with warehouse staff for proper storage and management.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, relevant regulations, and industry standards, while also preparing reports on purchasing activities.
- Team Leadership: Direct, train, and motivate junior purchasing staff, delegating work and ensuring they meet required standards
