(Senior) Purchasing Officer

Purpose

Handle purchasing activities for the Egypt Office, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and supporting the overall administrative operations.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the relevant teams to develop and implement purchase order operations, manage budgets, address system challenges, and continuously improve processes.
2. Review purchase requisitions, generate purchase orders in accordance with standard operating procedures, handle urgent purchase orders promptly, and ensure all purchase requests are processed within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
3. Communicate with stakeholders and develop review platforms to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and SLA guarantees.
4. Handle urgent purchase orders promptly.
5. Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Procurement team.
6. Address end-user escalations and complaints.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.
8. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
9. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
2. 2 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the financial sector.
3. Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related administrative role is advantageous.
4. Strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
5. Strong communication skills with stakeholders, including vendors and internal teams, to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
6. Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
7. Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet challenging deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
8. Excellent command of Arabic (native speaker) and good command of English.
9. Attention to details; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
