Senior QA/QC Engineer

The Senior QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing quality control activities, conducting inspections, preparing documentation, and liaising with contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure consistent quality and safety across all construction phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Planning & Implementation:

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Ensure that quality standards are met at every phase of the construction process.

Inspection & Testing:

• Conduct site inspections and audits for materials, workmanship, and processes.
• Monitor and verify work in progress and completed work for compliance.
• Supervise material testing (concrete, soil, steel, etc.) and analyze results.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure proper closure and corrective actions.

Coordination & Communication:

• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during audits and reviews.
• Attend project meetings and provide QA/QC input as needed.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all construction activities comply with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across the site team.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Min 7 years of QA/QC experience in construction, preferably on large-scale projects, high rise buildings
• Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI).
• Familiarity with inspection tools and testing procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management software.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
