Job Description:
- Quality Planning & Implementation
- Develop and/or implement the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure all project activities conform to applicable international standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, etc.) and client specifications.
- Verify TPI inspection reports, incoming material inspection report and ensure traceability, mill certificates, and conformance to specifications/ data sheets/ Purchase order.
- Inspection & Testing
- Perform and supervise inspections of piping, welding, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works as applicable.
- Coordinate with NDT, PMI, hardness, hydrotest, and other test activities as per ITP.
- Review and approve test reports, calibration certificates, and inspection records.
- Vendor & Fabrication Quality Control
- Monitor and audit vendor fabrication, assembly, and testing activities.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, procedures, and welding qualifications (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
- Liaise with third-party Inspection agencies and client representatives and ensure compliance with specification, data sheets, purchase order requirement. Ensure all the client comments or TPI observations are closed out.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inspection records, test reports, and material traceability documents.
- Ensure all QC documentation is compiled into final dossiers (MDR / QA dossier) for client handover.
- Prepare non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective action requests (CARs), and preventive action reports (PARs).
- Coordination & Communication
- Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams for quality-related matters.
- Support root cause analysis for quality issues and ensure proper implementation of corrective measures.
- Participate in QA/QC meetings, audits, and technical reviews with the client and subcontractors.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all inspections and testing comply with HSE requirements.
Eligibility
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC within Oil & Gas, EPC, or Petrochemical projects.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
- Hands-on experience in piping, pressure vessels, tanks, structural fabrication, or rotating/static equipment inspection.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of QA/QC systems, documentation, and control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and reporting skills (written and verbal).
- Team-oriented, with ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, quality management software, and documentation tools.
