Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (API Automation Testing)

Role: API Automation Engineer

Experience: 10+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts using Java and Rest Assured.
• Validate REST API responses, status codes, headers, and payloads.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities for API testing.
• Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code using Java Streams and Java 8+ features.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of APIs.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand API requirements and test scenarios.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and report defects effectively.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation.
• Proficiency in Java Streams and Java 8+ concepts.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of JSON, API validation, and request/response handling.
• Familiarity with test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Understanding of version control tools (Git) and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and best coding practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
