Purpose of the Role / Summary: 

The role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software through effective testing and collaboration with stakeholders and developers. This includes analyzing requirements, designing and executing test plans, performing both functional and automated testing, and managing defects throughout their lifecycle. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate test documentation, supporting regression testing, and continuously improving testing processes to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Main Activities & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and clarify requirements
• Design and plan test processes based on project scope
• Create and maintain functional and integration test cases
• Perform automated testing
• Log and track defects in the issue tracking system
• Work closely with developers to ensure proper defect resolution
• Monitor defect life cycles and perform regression testing
• Continuously analyze and optimize testing processes
• Maintain clear and up-to-date test documentation
• Any other duties relevant to the role

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering or related engineering fields, Management Information Systems from a recognized university
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficient and fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Jira, Confluence
• Agile (Scrum, Kanban)
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Functional & Integration Testing
• Test Automation (Playwright, Postman test scripts)
• API Testing (REST, WebSocket-based APIs)
• Writing and maintaining test cases
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• HTML
• Git / GitHub
• Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Message Brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Monitoring Tools: Sentry, Grafana, Kibana, DataGrip

Further Info: 

• Working hours are 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday or as per the departmental flextime arrangement
• The role is in Istanbul, Turkiye
