Sr. Manager, Quality (Manufacturing)

Location: Cary, IL (Fully Onsite)

A growing, well-established discrete manufacturing company in Cary, IL is hiring a Senior Manager, Quality to lead and modernize its Quality function. This is a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility, direct customer interaction, and the opportunity to strengthen systems, processes, and team structure.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive a culture of quality across the plant
• Own key quality processes including audits, corrective actions, document control, calibration, and customer complaint resolution
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to reduce defects, improve process capability, and drive continuous improvement
• Lead customer-facing quality activities, including documentation expectations and product quality issue resolution
• Develop and mentor Quality team members; evaluate and strengthen team structure and performance
• Support modernization efforts to improve efficiency and reduce manual/paper-based workflows

Qualifications, a mix of…

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related discipline
• 10+ years of Quality leadership experience in a discrete manufacturing environment (machining, fabrication, assembly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (ASME experience is a plus)
• Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, SPC
• Strong leadership presence, customer communication skills, and ability to drive change
• Experience with ERP and/or QMS systems; strong MS Office skills
