Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all construction activities at the project site comply with approved specifications, drawings, method statements, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing inspection requests, maintaining quality records, and coordinating with site teams and consultants to ensure successful project delivery in line with contractual and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection:
Review project specifications, approved drawings, and method statements, and prepare the required inspection and testing checklists.
Conduct daily site inspections and walkthroughs in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Receive inspection requests and coordinate with the site team and supervision consultant to follow up on inspection results.
Ensure that completed works conform to approved requirements and are ready for final inspection by the site supervision consultant.
Monitor inspection statuses and follow up on corrective actions and resubmissions, ensuring all actions are completed before re-inspection.
Drawing & Documentation Control:
Monitor and verify the revision status of drawings used on site by construction teams and subcontractors to ensure that superseded drawings are not implemented.
Maintain all quality records as specified in Inspection and Test Plans and contract documents.
Ensure that original copies of quality records are properly submitted to the Document & Data Controller.
Materials & Storage Monitoring:
Inspect material storage areas and take necessary actions to prevent damage or deterioration.
Report any unacceptable practices to the Project Quality Manager and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Coordination
Ensure that technical activity training is conducted for site teams and subcontractors as required.
Attend quality control meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives on site.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 4–5 years of proven QA/QC experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection processes, and ITPs.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with document control systems and reporting tools.
