Job purpose:
The purpose of Quality Engineer is to ensure that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements by developing, implementing, and overseeing quality control and assurance activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and mentoring technical staff to maintain high-quality outcomes across projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in quality systems (quality control and quality assurance) and will play a critical role in ensuring that all design, testing, production, maintenance and repair activities meet stringent technical standards and industry standards (example ISO 9001, AS 9100).
Key Responsibilities:

Play a leading role, assisting the QHSE manager to define and establish an effective business orientated quality framework, compliant to ISO requirements.

Establish clear quality objectives aligned with organizational goals.

Define, document, and implement quality control processes and procedures.

Set up inspection and testing protocols across all project phases—including design, manufacturing, testing, maintenance, and repair.

Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Oversee and perform regular audits and inspections to verify and uphold adherence to quality procedures.

Recommend and oversee corrective actions to address non-conformances.

Ensure that quality assurance activities are effectively integrated into project workflows.

Keep comprehensive records of all quality-related activities, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other relevant documentation.
Provide guidance, training and mentorship to Quality Technicians to enhance their skills and competence.
requirements of role:

A minimum of an Associate's degree in Quality Assurance or Engineering, or a related scientific field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Minimum 5+ Years of Experience in Quality Management Systems (Quality Assurance/ Quality Control) within Engineering or Scientific Industrial Plant.

Solid understanding of quality principles and practices ( e.g. first article inspection).

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS 9100).

Strong attention to detail, and use of software tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint).

Reverse Engineering experience and using tools such as 3D scanners, CNC and CMM machines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Certification in ISO 9001 as Lead Auditor or a related field is a plus.
