Your Role at Delta Faucet

The Quality Engineer ensures that Delta Faucet Company’s products are designed, manufactured, and delivered to meet and exceed customer expectations. Acting as the voice of quality within the product development process, this role applies advanced Quality Engineering tools and methods to support new product development, continuous improvement, and supplier quality initiatives. The Quality Engineer is responsible for assessing and mitigating risks, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality activities for new product development projects using tools such as Requirements Decomposition, D/PFMEA, Phased Test Plan Development, PPAP, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, 8D, and structured problem solving.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product test plans to minimize development risk and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Support the development, qualification, and implementation of inspection, test, and measurement equipment.
  • Participate in Manufacturability and Technical Readiness Design Reviews.
  • Communicate significant issues and findings to project teams and leadership, recommending design and process improvements as needed.
  • Review, create, and disposition supplier PPAP submissions in SAP; support supplier quality issue resolution.
  • Apply statistical methods to evaluate and analyze product, process, and equipment performance.
  • Perform supplier quality assurance activities, including audits and process inspections; develop issue closure plans and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain familiarity with and apply company procedures, specifications, standards, and industry codes.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, providing technical reports and risk mitigation plans to leadership.
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes, including finishing, plating, casting, forging, injection molding, and extrusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, product development, or manufacturing.
  • Experience in finishing and plating preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret product designs and prints.
  • Experience developing and executing validation test plans based on product design risk and Failure Mode Analysis.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, MRP, and inventory management systems desired.
  • Proficiency with Quality tools and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5-Why, A3, DMAIC, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Product & Process Mapping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO16949, and ISO17025 standards is a plus.

Hiring Range: $88,700.00 - $139,260.00
