Senior Quality Engineer- Electrical

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to lead quality assurance and control processes in our submersible pump manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in product quality, process control, testing procedures, and compliance with industry standards, especially in electrical and electro-mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Planning & Management:

• Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures for submersible pumps.
• Define inspection criteria and establish control plans for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Electrical Testing & Product Validation:

• Oversee electrical testing of stators, rotors, windings, and motor assemblies per IEC/NEMA standards.
• Supervise motor performance testing including insulation resistance, high voltage, no-load current, and efficiency tests.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

Inspection & Auditing:

• Perform and manage inspections on electrical components like cables, windings, control panels, and starters.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BIS, etc.).
• Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance and assist in supplier development.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain and control all quality-related documents including test reports, quality manuals, and calibration records.
• Ensure product compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
• Review engineering drawings and technical specifications for manufacturability and quality standards.

Team Leadership & Training:

• Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
• Conduct quality training programs for shop floor employees and new hires.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.

Customer Interaction:

• Handle customer complaints, warranty analysis, and feedback resolution.
• Interface with customers and third-party inspection agencies regarding product quality and performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components in submersible pumps.
• Proficient in quality tools: 7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, BIS standards, and relevant electrical standards (IS 8034, IS 9283, IS 14220).
• Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as HV testers, IR meters, dynamometers, and VFDs.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma/BE in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 6 Years Experience as Quality Engineer Profile in Submersible Pump manufacturing Industry.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position in a manufacturing plant.
• May require occasional travel to supplier sites or customer locations.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
