Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil)

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for Sr. Quantity Surveyor (Civil) in Doha-Qatar

Location: Lusail Plaza Towers

Project Duration: 3-6 months (extendable)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Subcontractor Management & Negotiation

• Review, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor claims, Variation Orders (VO) and Final Accounts
• Assess subcontractor submissions against contract terms, specifications and QCS
• Coordinate and drive subcontractors to complete outstanding works and close-out documentation

2. Commercial & Contract Management

• Analyze unit rates and pricing for subcontract works
• Prepare and manage Change Orders in accordance with contract provisions
• Negotiate final settlement with subcontractors and resolve commercial disputes

3. Direct Labour Monitoring & Cost Control

• Track and monitor direct labour deployment on site on daily/weekly basis
• Estimate and forecast direct labour costs for remaining works
• Prepare cost reports comparing planned vs actual labour utilization

4. Project Closeout

• Manage warranty documentation, punch list clearance and handover process
• Coordinate with PMCM and Consultant for comment resolution and document approval
• Ensure all closeout deliverables are completed within project timeline

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience in QS role within construction industry
• Experience in facade works (Curtain Wall, Cladding, Glazing, Metalwork)
• Strong knowledge of contract administration (FIDIC / Subcontract)
• Proven track record in subcontractor negotiation and dispute resolution
• Proficient in cost planning, estimation and reporting
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil or Construction Management
• Middle East experience preferred
