Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project in accordance with contract requirements and project objectives.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather relevant data for planning and scheduling activities.
- Prepare baseline programs, resource histograms, and progress measurement systems to track project performance.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress, identifying delays or deviations from the approved schedule.
- Analyze critical paths, forecast completion dates, and recommend corrective or recovery actions to maintain target timelines.
- Prepare and update manpower, equipment, and material allocation plans based on project progress and requirements.
- Review subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the main project schedule and coordinate updates accordingly.
- Generate regular progress reports, dashboards, and schedule variance analyses for management and clients.
- Support delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) claims, and project risk assessments with accurate schedule data.
- Coordinate with cost control and QS teams to integrate schedule updates with financial forecasts and cash flow plans.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide schedule-related insights to assist in decision-making and project planning.
- Maintain detailed records of schedule updates, revisions, and approved changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and company planning standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by developing standardized planning templates and reporting tools.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the GCC, preferably on high-rise, infrastructure, or large-scale building projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel; knowledge of Power BI or project dashboards is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and resource management.
- Familiarity with EOT claims, delay analysis techniques, and contractual planning requirements (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and under tight deadlines.
- GCC experience and a valid driving license are highly preferred.
