Job Purpose
Will be responsible for executing solar PV projects at site level, ensuring that construction, installation, and commissioning works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, technical standards, and safety requirements. The role demands strong on-site coordination, hands-on technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders—contractors, vendors, and internal teams—under challenging site conditions to achieve timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily site construction activities, including structure erection, module installation, inverter setup, cable laying, and switchgear grid interfacing/terminations.

Ensure installation quality and compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety compliance among all site personnel.

Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for interface management during construction.

Ensure proper installation sequencing to meet project schedule milestones.
-
Act as the technical focal point at site, coordinating between stakeholders.

Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and subcontractors for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.

Participate in progress and coordination meetings and provide daily/weekly site updates.
-
Support in authority inspections (SEC, RC, MOMRA, etc.) and documentation readiness for approvals.
-
Implement the QA/QC plan and ensure inspections are carried out as per ITPs and checklists.

Prepare and track RFIs, NCRs, and punch points until closure.

Maintain as-built records, test reports, and site documentation accurately.
-
Conduct or witness electrical testing of DC strings, cables, and components.
-
Verify delivery, quantity, and condition of materials received at site.

Coordinate with stores and logistics for material issuance, handling, and preservation.
-
Prepare material requirement forecasts and report shortages proactively.
-
Monitor manpower and equipment deployment for optimal utilization.
-
Support pre-commissioning and commissioning of PV systems and balance of plant.
-
Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is completed before energization.
-
Assist in performance verification and handover documentation to client and O&M team.

Enforce compliance with HSE standards and site safety procedures.
-
Report unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents immediately.

Support HSE team in risk assessments, safety audits, and emergency drills.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, ECE or Renewable Energy Engineering.

4–8 years of total experience with at least 3 years in site-based solar PV construction (utility or C&I).

Proven experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of PV systems in GCC or KSA.
-
Familiarity with SEC, RC, NREP, and Saudi wiring regulation standards preferred.

Experience managing EPC site works, subcontractors, and documentation.
-
Strong understanding of PV module installation, string configuration, and earthing systems.
-
Ability to read and interpret SLDs, layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
-
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Helioscope, PV Syst MS Project, and MS Office.

Familiar with electrical testing procedures (IR, continuity, polarity, performance).

Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
-
Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic an advantage).
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
