Senior Reporting Specialist (SAP/Power BI)

The Senior Reporting Specialist will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-wide reporting and analytics solutions using SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence), SAP Reporting Services, and Microsoft Power BI. This role will act as the reporting lead, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely information delivery to support executive decision-making, compliance, and business performance. The senior specialist will also mentor junior staff and act as the bridge between IT and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Skills in design, development, and implementation of SAP Data Services and Business Objects reports and Power BI to meet business requirements.
• Develop new reports using SAP and Power BI systems to meet the requirements using WEBi Technology, universes and ETL Data Services
• Architect and develop new ETL Jobs, Universes in SAP application and Power BI
• Customize the current ETL and reports to meet any changes from the business users
• maintain and develop the integration and extraction layer for SAP, T24
• Administrate and monitor the availability and performance of the database related to the applications including health check and conduct the best practice of SQL maintenance jobs
• Knowledge of Temenos T24 core banking modules and tables architecture
• Manage end-to-end application projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts to support data migration and integration.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to ensure high availability and performance of applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
• Design and implement data quality processes, data profiling, and cleansing strategies.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications and user guides.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance and data security standards.
• Contribute to continual improvement of IMS and comply to organizational policy and process requirements

Reporting & Analytics Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end reporting lifecycle – requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Define reporting standards, governance models, and best practices across SAP and Power BI platforms.
• Architect and optimize complex reports, dashboards, and KPIs that support executive management, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

Data Integration & Strategy

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data from SAP and non-SAP systems into unified reporting solutions.
• Drive data quality, standardization, and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and data warehouse teams to align reporting with organizational data strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with senior business leaders to identify reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Present analytical findings and insights to executives in a clear, business-focused manner.
• Ensure reports and dashboards meet audit, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Team Guidance & Support

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior reporting analysts and developers.
• Conduct peer reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training to build organizational BI capability.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Webi, SAP Reporting Services, and Power BI.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in BI/reporting, with strong expertise in:
• SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (Webi)
• SAP Reporting Services
• Microsoft Power BI
• MS SQL Server
• Strong experience with data modeling, SQL, and data warehouse integration.
• Proven experience in reporting governance, performance optimization, and large-scale BI environments.
• Prior experience in banking/financial services reporting is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization principles and BI best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize reporting initiatives strategically.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or similar enterprise BI platforms.
• Exposure to AI-driven analytics, predictive modeling, or advanced data visualization.
• Experience leading reporting teams or managing BI projects.
