Job Purpose

The Senior Researcher is responsible for conducting in-depth market research, tracking industry developments, and updating project databases to deliver accurate, timely, and strategic insights. This role requires strong analytical skills, sector expertise, and the ability to guide and support the Associate Researcher team to ensure high-quality, consistent, and timely research outputs.

Main Activities

1. Data & Project Management

Regularly update projects within the companys database to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Monitor and maintain up-to-date information on all projects within assigned countries or sectors.

Ensure that all updates are completed within stipulated deadlines.

2. Market & Industry Analysis

Stay informed about the latest developments, policies, and trends in the GCC construction industry.

3. Research Activities

Undertake ad-hoc research to support specific business cases or strategic decisions.

Gather information on new projects across various sectors using primary (direct contacts phone calls, emails, WhatsApp etc.) and secondary (online sources, publications, reports, social media etc.) research techniques.

All collected information is to be added to the central database.

Research pertaining to client queries on specific projects or industry-related matters to be conducted and responded to clients.

4. Cross-Functional Support

Maintain a thorough understanding of the companys operations, services, divisions and subsidiaries to align research with business objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams to provide research support and market intelligence as needed.

5. Team Leadership & Mentoring

Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to Researchers and Associate Researchers to develop their research skills and sector knowledge.

Review and validate research conducted by Junior Researchers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance.

Coordinate the allocation of research tasks within the team to meet deadlines and project requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Any Bachelors or Masters degree
  • Bachelors degree in business, Engineering, Literature, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • 5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or industry analysis, preferably within the GCC construction sector.
  • Strong analytical and research skills (both qualitative and quantitative).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in research tools, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
