Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the project risk management framework in alignment with PMC and client requirements.
Establish and maintain the project risk register and ensure regular updates.
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to identify potential project risks across design, construction, operations, and interfaces.
Assess probability, impact, and severity of identified risks using qualitative and quantitative techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo simulation).
Prioritize risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Track risk response implementation and measure effectiveness.
Provide early warning on critical risks that may affect project delivery.
Support integration of risk management into project controls, scheduling, and cost management.
Prepare periodic risk reports and dashboards for PMC management and the client.
Present risk analysis results to project leadership and recommend mitigation measures.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, safety, and commercial teams to ensure consistent risk management practices.
Provide input into claims evaluation and contractual matters from a risk perspective.
Support assessment of variation orders and schedule impacts.
Ensure risk management processes comply with international standards (e.g., ISO 31000) and client requirements.
Promote a risk-aware culture within the PMC and contractor teams.
Identify and manage risks at key project interfaces (design–construction, construction–operations, multiple contractors, and stakeholder agencies).
Facilitate risk integration workshops across contractors and consultants.
Link identified risks to project schedule and cost estimates for accurate forecasting.
Perform risk-adjusted schedule simulations and assess potential delays.
Quantify contingency requirements and recommend allocation strategies.
Evaluate technical design risks, construction safety hazards, and operational readiness challenges.
Support the HSE team in assessing potential high-impact safety and environmental risks.
Monitor external risks related to government approvals, aviation regulations, and environmental permits.
Track risks associated with stakeholder engagement and third-party utilities.
Develop lessons learned and risk intelligence reports for future PMC projects.
Provide mentoring and training sessions on risk awareness to junior engineers and project teams.
Conduct scenario analysis for critical risks (e.g., supply chain disruptions, contractor insolvency, geopolitical events).
Support the development of contingency plans and emergency response strategies.
Participate in internal and external audits to verify risk management compliance.
Ensure traceability of risks from identification to closure.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 12–15 years’ experience in risk engineering or risk management roles on large-scale infrastructure/airport projects, preferably in a PMC environment.
Strong expertise in quantitative risk analysis (QRA), cost and schedule risk modeling.
Proficiency with risk management tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Active Risk Manager, @Risk).
Good knowledge of project management standards (PMI, AACE, ISO 31000).
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
