Position: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: Lahore

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with a solid background in software development, preferably within the automotive or insurance industries. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Ruby on Rails and have hands-on experience with Active Admin and Turbo [Hotwire]. You will play a crucial role in developing scalable, high-performance applications and providing technical leadership within our growing tech team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define and implement user-centric solutions.
• Ensure high code quality and maintainability by writing automated tests and performing regular code reviews.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers on the team.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend best practices for software development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, with a strong understanding of Rails framework principles.
• Experience in the automotive or insurance industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), RESTful services, and API integration.
• Proficient in front-end technologies, i.e. JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preffered Skills:

• Experience with Active Admin and Hotwire.
• Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android) and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or OCI, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization (Kamal / Docker / Kubernetes).
