Job Description: Senior Safety Officer (Residential Projects)

Position: Senior Safety Officer

Salary: ₹50,000+ per month (Negotiable, based on experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Safety Officer with at least 10 years of experience exclusively in residential construction projects. The candidate must have hands-on site experience and strong knowledge of safety management systems applicable to high-rise and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures at the residential project site
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety norms, local laws, and company safety standards
• Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and registers
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and training for workers and staff
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare corrective action reports
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain a safe work environment
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety discipline at site
• Liaise with government safety inspectors and auditors when required

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Safety Officer in residential construction projects only
• Candidates currently or previously working only in residential projects will be considered
• Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering or equivalent safety certification
• Knowledge of IS standards, safety audits, and risk assessment
• Good communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Construction Safety / Industrial Safety
• Experience in high-rise residential projects
• Ability to manage large workforce and multiple contractors
