Sales Executive – Food Processing & Seafood Industry (Chemicals Division)

Location: Mumbai
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive sales of industrial and food-grade chemicals such as STPP (Sodium Tripolyphosphate), phosphates, emulsifiers, preservatives, binders, and food additives.
The role focuses on selling to seafood processing units, frozen food manufacturers, and food packaging industries. The ideal candidate will develop new business, manage existing accounts, and build long-term customer relationships in the food and seafood processing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in seafood processing plants, frozen food units, and food packaging industries.
  • Promote and sell products such as STPP, phosphates, emulsifiers, preservatives, and other industrial chemicals.
  • Conduct product presentations, customer trials, and technical discussions with procurement teams, production managers, and R&D departments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and account growth.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.
  • Coordinate with logistics, accounts, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, visit summaries, and market intelligence updates.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events for lead generation.
  • Provide customers with technical support, COA documentation, and regulatory compliance information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or Business (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of B2B industrial chemical sales experience, preferably in food processing or seafood industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of food-grade chemicals and their applications (STPP knowledge preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and account management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving ability.

Preferred Attributes

  • Existing customer network in seafood processing or frozen food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards such as FSSAI, FDA, EU Standards, HACCP.
  • Ability to conduct technical demos and support customers during product trials.

Compensation & Benefits
