Senior Sales Manager - Oman
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven senior sales manager to lead initiatives in identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, deep market expertise, and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Manage new business by identifying potential clients, cross-selling opportunities, and meeting the annual target.

Develop and maintain relationships with strategic clients and insurance carriers to achieve the business’s strategic and growth objectives.

Identify and generate leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, and digital outreach, to ensure a healthy sales pipeline.

Achieve personal targets set by the Reporting Manager in terms of new business growth.

Deliver consistent and sustainable growth across all portfolios.

Strategically plan and identify key stakeholders and solutions in a proactive manner, coordinating across various teams within Howden Oman and the MEA region.

Build and maintain relationships with large and complex clients, while developing a strong understanding of each client’s business and culture.

Lead the development of business presentations for clients and manage client meetings and presentations related to renewals and new business, in consultation with relevant teams as required.

Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and potential changes or risks to ensure practices and outputs remain of a high standard and contribute to identifying opportunities for business growth.

Maintain close collaboration across the company, working with other teams to share information and identify risks and business opportunities to achieve positive results for the business and clients.

Collaborate with different specialty lines and departments to encourage cross-selling activities.

Maintain sales MIS and update data in Salesforce and other data management systems.

Provide timely sales reports to the Reporting Manager and ensure compliance with systems and procedures.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 6 years of experience in business development or sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Good understanding of specific products and related disciplines such as Business Development, Broking and Client Servicing.

Leading edge knowledge of insurance best practice and environment, including understanding of the Oman market operations and regulatory/legal requirements.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to analyse new business opportunities, research and detect problems.

Confident negotiator and able to close the deal independently.
