We are seeking a highly capable Senior Salesforce System Administrator to support and advance a large, complex Salesforce ecosystem serving recruitment and enrollment stakeholders across the university. You will be a senior individual contributor reporting directly to Salesforce leadership.

You will partner closely with stakeholders, provide informed advisory guidance, and independently drive assigned work forward by setting a strong standard for quality, reliability, and follow-through.

Essential Duties:

Salesforce System Administration and Configuration

  • Serve as a senior administrator responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing Salesforce functionality in support of recruitment and enrollment operations.
  • Maintain and improve automation, data stewardship processes, and overall system reliability in an environment with ongoing demand and a sizable backlog.
  • Adhere to university policies, security standards, and Salesforce best practices.

Solution Design and Delivery

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable declarative solutions aligned with business needs, platform best practices, and long-term sustainability.
  • Translate complex business requirements into practical Salesforce solutions, asking thoughtful questions and providing clear recommendations on feasibility, tradeoffs, and approach.
  • Own assigned projects and enhancements from intake through delivery, exercising sound judgment and coordinating with other Salesforce team members and stakeholders as appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted partner to front-line recruitment teams and enrollment leadership, along with data and marketing stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the ongoing expansion of recruitment use cases into an established Salesforce environment.

Data Management & Quality

  • Support data quality efforts including deduplication, data hygiene, and selective use of ETL tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, and DemandTools.

Documentation & Release Management

  • Maintain system and process documentation in alignment with university standards and team practices.
  • Participate in release activities and deployments, including occasional after-hours work as required.

General Responsibilities

  • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

NOTE : This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, AZ.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience administering Salesforce in a production environment.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds (required).
  • Evidence of expertise in declarative Salesforce development, including configuration, automation, reporting, dashboards, and user management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data models with attention to relationships, reporting needs, and data integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-demand environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide informed guidance.
  • Salesforce certifications (required):
    • Salesforce Platform Administrator I
    • Salesforce Platform Administrator II
    • Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Experience supporting Salesforce in a higher education, enrollment, admissions, or recruitment context (preferred).
  • Experience working in Salesforce environments serving approximately 500 users or more (preferred).
  • Experience partnering with data, analytics, or marketing teams within Salesforce ecosystems (preferred).
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of SOQL, Apex, or Lightning components (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to large-scale Salesforce initiatives or phased system expansions (preferred).

Salary & Benefits:

$83,000 - $120,000 per year; DOE
