Your Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced senior scientist to join our Formulation and Technology Center, Mumbai India within the Life Science R&D. You will likewise shape the strategic formulation and process development of small and large molecule parenteral like peptides. Experience with generics and complex parenteral drug products such as lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), liposomes or controlled-release dosage forms is desired while working on peptides (e.g. GLP-1) is a strong plus. Having experience of analytical tools and product scale up is added advantage. Your role focuses primarily on application data generation, proof of concepts, consultation on selection, impact and reproducibility of excipient in parenteral formulations. You will actively be driving the adoption of new technologies and products - including use of AI to accelerate dosage development. This role requires you to manage a diverse excipient portfolio, collaborate across functions, customer visits, trainings, thought leadership and represent early-stage development in internal and external partnerships. You will be working with R&D, franchise, commercial, regulatory affairs and customers on a global basis. Our team provides an environment that you will be working in a a culture of scientific rigor, innovation, and continuous improvement, You will work alongside colleagues with expertise in solid and liquid applications. You will be integrated in a dynamic environment, including external collaborations. This role demands approximate of 10% of time to travel within and outside India for the business purpose.

Who you are:

• You hold a Master’s degree or Ph.D in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Technology, Science, Biotechnology or biochemistry (Ph.D. preferred).
• You bring at least 5 years of industry experience in drug product development and scale up, technology transfer.
• You have a proven track record in parenteral formulation and process development, analytical tool like chromatography, light scattering particle analysis, ideally with small and large molecules.
• You have worked sufficiently with cross-functional teams and external collaborations effectively.
• You possess hands-on experience or strategic oversight of digitalization and new technologies in formulation or analytical workflows.
• Experience with complex drug delivery systems, such as nanoparticles, LNPs, or controlled-release injectables is highly desirable.
• You demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, Fluency in English, written and verbal is must
• You are an excellent communicator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and values digitalization and automation in pharmaceutical development.
• Approximately 10% traveling within or outside India.
