The Program Coordinator is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, with much of the work occurring at ADAS Israel Congregation with senior adults. This role is expected to be communicative with aging adults, supervisors, volunteers, assistants and ADAS staff to ensure the integration of the program both on and off site. He/she/they will also ensure that program participants have a safe, socially enjoyable, and educationally fulfilling experience.
Essential Functions:- Create and disseminate monthly calendar of daily activities and lunch menus
- Order lunches from Berman Hebrew Academy
- Purchase additional snack and supplies as needed
- Manage the coordination of daily activities and classes for senior participants
- Organize transportation for offsite holiday programs or local trips for cultural programs
- In collaboration with the program supervisor, help maintain all requirements of the Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL) grant
- Keep accurate records for DACL including intake forms, program attendance, nutritional
- information, and activity tracking
- Produce reports regarding programming and lunch components for DACL
- Coordinate rabbis and educators to help with Jewish holiday programs
- Recruit and train volunteers for the program
- Recruit new participants through various marketing channels
- Manage program budget in collaboration with program supervisor
- Complete and submit paperwork to assure prompt payment of vendors and accurate accounting
- Maintain up-to-date CPR certification and SafeServe certificate
- Maintain relationships with ADAS Israel staff to ensure continued collaboration on the program
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Licensure, and Work Experience Required:- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years in a similar position
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented
- Experience with an electronic health record system
- Advanced level knowledge with MS Office (in particular, Outlook, Excel and Word), and aptitude to master other computer programs and reporting systems easily
- Commitment to working in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on collaboration with colleagues and clients
