We are looking for a Site Architect to provide support and assistance to the Resident Engineer and oversee processes associated with the Construction stages of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination process with other disciplines.
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in performing the contractual duties on site.
  • Processing of contract documents and assist contract administration.
  • Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
  • Advise the Project Manager / Resident Engineer of any technical aspects of the architectural works that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.
  • Monitor the interior architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
  • Review and process all shop drawings and architectural technical submittals.
  • Respond to RFIs related to interior and architecture.
  • Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out.
  • Review Contractor's installation method statements.
  • Review Contractor's shop drawings for compliance with the design intent and provide comments/approvals.
  • Review Contractor's material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise on their appropriateness.
  • Review Contractor's proposed subcontractors from a technical standpoint.
  • Monitor procurement and deliveries to support construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
  • Observe and inspect works to ensure contractor adherence to approved shop drawings, specifications, quality standards, construction schedule, and health & safety requirements.
  • Lead the snagging and de-snagging process to progress the works toward completion.
  • Attend project, site progress, and related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
  • Prepare draft site/engineer's instructions as required and issue to the Project Manager.
  • Provide advice to the Project Manager about potential variation costs claimed by the Contractor.
  • Oversee architects and inspectors for all architectural work and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality control standards.
  • Ensure project quality control procedures are used for construction supervision and monitor for improvement.
  • Collaborate with construction management to identify and mitigate hazards affecting environment, safety, or health.
  • Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution.
  • Perform inspection requests and material inspection requests as required to support the project.
  • Support other responsibilities as appropriate for the position.
  • External Communications: provide support and guidance to optimize external communications systems.
  • Construction Management: supervise others on the project within established systems.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: follow HSE policies, identify risks, and instruct the team in safe working methods.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: assign short-term work schedules to a team to meet timelines.
  • Leadership and Direction: communicate the action plan and motivate the team to achieve goals.
  • Performance Management: monitor performance, allocate work, and ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Organizational Capability Building: provide coaching to team members to develop skills.
  • Quality Assurance: plan and coordinate testing/inspection and implement corrective actions or improvements.
  • Operational Compliance: identify noncompliance with policies or regulatory codes and escalate as needed.
  • Client & Customer Management (External): assist in managing client relationships using relevant systems.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
Experience
  • General Experience: Typically 7 to 10 years of experience; capable of advising others on a broad set of situations.
  • Managerial Experience: Experience supervising junior colleagues (approximately 7 to 12 months).
