Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Site Engineer to supervise and manage complete site execution activities for steel structure, PEB, structural steel, façade, fit-out, and construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in site management, construction supervision, team coordination, planning, and project execution from drawing stage until final handover.
The candidate will be responsible for handling daily site operations, coordinating with consultants and main contractors, managing manpower and subcontractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting successful project completion within approved timelines.
The role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and hands-on experience in construction site execution and coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision
- Supervise and manage complete site execution activities from approved drawings stage until final handover.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure smooth workflow across all project areas.
- Coordinate construction, installation, erection, façade, fit-out, and finishing activities based on project scope.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and technical details before execution.
- Ensure proper implementation of approved construction procedures and work methods.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship quality and progress.
- Ensure site activities are completed within approved schedules and project timelines.
- Monitor work sequences and ensure proper coordination between different trades and subcontractors.
- Identify and resolve site execution issues and technical problems promptly.
Site Planning & Progress Monitoring
- Plan and organize daily site activities to ensure efficient project execution.
- Prepare and monitor lookahead schedules and short-term work plans.
- Coordinate with planning teams to align site execution with baseline project schedules.
- Monitor site productivity and manpower performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
- Support recovery plans and corrective actions to minimize project delays.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and work prioritization at site.
- Coordinate material availability and site requirements to avoid work interruptions.
Main Contractor & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Attend and handle main contractor meetings, consultant meetings, and progress coordination meetings.
- Maintain proper communication with project stakeholders regarding site progress and technical matters.
- Coordinate inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications related to site activities.
- Follow up with consultants and contractors for approvals, inspections, and site instructions.
- Ensure timely resolution of coordination issues between site and management teams.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and supervise site engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and workforce teams.
- Allocate manpower and equipment effectively based on project priorities.
- Monitor workforce productivity and site discipline.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams during execution activities.
- Conduct site briefings and coordinate work activities among teams.
- Ensure proper coordination between different site teams and departments.
- Support team members in achieving project targets and deadline.
Quality Control & Documentation
- Ensure all project activities comply with approved QA/QC standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and testing activities with QA/QC teams.
- Prepare and maintain WIR, MIR, inspection requests, NCRs, RFIs, and related project documentation.
- Monitor quality standards during fabrication, erection, installation, and finishing activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance throughout project execution.
- Coordinate snagging activities and ensure timely closure of snags and punch points.
- Support final documentation and handover submissions.
Project Handover & Close-Out
- Coordinate project testing, inspections, and snagging activities before handover.
- Ensure all pending works and punch list items are completed on time.
- Support consultant and client inspections during project close-out stages.
- Ensure submission of required handover documentation and records.
- Support successful project completion and final handover to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of GCC/UAE experience in steel structure, PEB, façade, fit-out, or construction projects.
- Strong experience in site supervision, construction execution, and project coordination.
- Experience handling projects from drawings stage until handover.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, erection activities, and finishing works.
- Ability to independently handle consultant and main contractor coordination.
- Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and manpower operations.
- Good understanding of lookahead planning and site scheduling.
- Experience in QA/QC documentation including WIR, MIR, inspections, and NCR handling.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and MS Office is preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
- UAE Driving License is preferred.
