Senior Software Architect - Enterprise Integration & Master Data Management

Auburn Hills, United States

Position Summary:

TI Automotive is seeking a senior software architect to drive Enterprise Integration (EI) and Master Data Management (MDM) across the organization. This role is both strategic and hands-on—setting technical direction, defining best practices, and ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions.

We want to establish a robust MDM system for mastering and enriching entities such as customer, supplier, parts, and plant data—serving as the single source of truth and publishing trusted data back into ERPs and other enterprise systems.

From an EI perspective, our current landscape has numerous point-to-point integrations. We aim to move toward a modern, API-driven or publish/subscribe model where integrations can be governed centrally while applications own their business logic. The Architect will be responsible for tool selection, system architecture, and leading implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design: Define and design scalable MDM systems and EI frameworks to ensure accurate, consistent, and governed master data across the enterprise.
  • Integration Leadership: Lead the design of API-first integrations between ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and other enterprise applications.
  • Microservices & API Management: Establish architecture standards for microservices, event-driven integrations, and API management platforms (Apigee, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar).
  • Cloud Solutions: Design and deploy solutions on Azure Cloud, leveraging Azure Integration Services and related technologies.
  • Scalability & Performance: Ensure systems are designed for high availability, security, and performance at enterprise scale.
  • Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Governance & Standards: Define and enforce architectural principles, patterns, and coding best practices across development teams.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, fostering growth and capability within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade software and integration systems.
  • MDM Expertise: Strong background in architecting and deploying MDM solutions (Informatica MDM, Reltio, or equivalent).
  • Integration Skills: Deep knowledge of integrating data between ERP and enterprise systems using modern integration platforms (Dell Boomi, Apigee, MuleSoft, or similar).
  • API & Microservices: Strong expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Cloud Experience: Proficiency with Azure Cloud services, especially in integration, data, and security domains.
  • Frameworks: Knowledge of TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills; ability to influence at both technical and business levels.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks for APIs and integrations (OAuth, JWT, SAML).
  • Hands-on development experience in Java, .NET, or Python for integration services.
  • Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
