The Division:
clubsystems group is a leading provider of innovative club management software, offering products such as accounting, membership management, food & beverage, catering, tee time management, point-of-sale, payroll and various online services. It is our mission to become the world’s premier software provider to the Club Management Industry by providing superior software support and product enhancements for life.
The Position:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to maintain, enhance, and support our legacy Visual Basic 6 and .NET applications. The role will involve working on API migrations, revising integrations, updating documentation & help systems, and ensuring the legacy systems continue to operate smoothly. The selected candidate will work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, debug, and enhance existing VB6, VB.Net, and C# applications.
  • Migrate or refactor URL API integrations to supported REST API interfaces.
  • Revise email marketing integrations, ensure secure and stable links between client-server and cloud applications.
  • Update and refresh the help system written, including maintaining F1 context-sensitive links.
  • Maintain the SQL Server database layer: queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, schema updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: QA, business analysts, technical writers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Visual Basic 6 in production applications.
  • Strong knowledge of COM/ActiveX, ADO, and Windows legacy APIs.
  • Solid experience using .NET Framework (VB.Net / C#) (versions 4.0 through 4.8).
  • Proficient with SQL Server: writing queries, stored procedures, performance tuning.
  • Experience with API integrations (REST or SOAP).
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git, TFS, etc.) and good software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot legacy systems, and reverse-engineer where needed.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of working with agile / scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe RoboHelp is nice to have.
