A-Better Heat & Air Conditioning, an established and reputable Oklahoma-based HVAC contractor with over 40 years of industry experience, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position open to candidates located in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania, United States.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our technological advancement. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that streamline our operations, enhance our service delivery, and improve the overall customer experience. Responsibilities

• Lead the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain scalable back-end services and robust front-end interfaces.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to ensure high standards of quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the company's long-term technology strategy.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar high-level development role.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) and development frameworks.
• Extensive experience with both front-end and back-end development.
• Solid understanding of database design and management (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
