Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Description: As a full-time, exempt Senior Software Engineer with CPS Solutions IT team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications for CPS. Key responsibilities include working with a team of individuals to identify the goals of the software, crafting detail system design and technical implementation plans, and making substantial hands-on code contribution towards project delivery. This also includes participating in technical standards and guidelines for engineering teams, reviewing code that other engineers have written to ensure quality, and researching the most up-to-date techniques in software design. In addition, the Software Engineer spends time communicating progress on software development to other engineers, project managers, business analysts, and product managers, and senior leaders in IT and business. Identify product requirements and limitations to ensure system function; confer with users, sponsors and stakeholders to identify their vision and needs; design a software or group of software that meet client’s needs.
Salary Range: Salary is $120,000.00 depending on experience plus bonus potential
Schedule: This position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday; with some evening or weekend hours based upon business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a computer science related field
7+ years of extensive experience in Software Engineering, using Microsoft tech stack such as C#, ASP.NET Web API, .NET Core, SQL Server etc., and cloud-based technologies Azure (App Services, Functions, API Mgmt, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure AI Services, CI/CD, DevSecOps)
Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, and Angular, jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks, hands on Angular is must
Knowledge and working fluency of server-side development and caching mechanisms such as Redis, and experience with service-oriented and other architecture principles
Experience with secure coding best practices
Expertise with DBMS technology, e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Managed Instances
Hands on experience with tools such as GitHub, Sonar and New Relic

Solid experience with agile practices, unit testing frameworks, CI/CD engineering flow
Demonstrated ability to work with Business groups defining requirements, and project goals
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language
Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience preferred
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong written and oral communications skills and strong service orientation
