About the Role

Join our team in Redmond to work on hardware security for Windows laptop devices, including security processors, TPM, trusted boot, and underlying security features for devices like Surface.

Job Title: Software Design Engineer

Location : Redmond, WA

Key Responsibilities

Fine-tune and improve sophisticated software implementation projects
Analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions
Implement system software and customize to client requirements
Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans
Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data
Provide quality assurance reviews and resolve bugs found during testing

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering
5-7 years of experience
Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Experience in large systems software design and development
Experience in troubleshooting and unit testing with new and legacy production systems
Programming experience with problem diagnosis and resolution

Prior experience in hardware security

Position Information

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$140000– $130000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
