Senior Software Engineer

About Us

We’re building a modern invoicing and payments platform for service businesses, contractors, and freelancers. Our product is already in beta and preparing for release, so you’ll be joining at a critical stage where you’ll lead and execute work on real production backend systems and Stripe-powered payment integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and C#/.NET

• Design and scale secure REST APIs, invoicing logic, and end-to-end payment workflows

• Own and expand Stripe integrations (Payments, Invoicing, Webhooks, Connect)

• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

• Support and improve deployments on DigitalOcean and other cloud environments

• Collaborate on and contribute to front-end features in Next.js when needed

• Lead troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization across the stack

• Influence technical direction, architecture decisions, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of backend or full-stack development experience

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, C#, and JavaScript

• Proven experience designing and securing production-grade APIs

• Hands-on experience with Stripe (Payments, Webhooks, Checkout, or Connect)

• Cloud infrastructure experience (DigitalOcean, Vercel, AWS)

• Familiarity with Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service platforms

• Bonus: experience building invoicing, payouts, or marketplace-style payment flows

Compensation & Work Environment

• Early-stage startup role with meaningful equity participation as part of team ownership

• No salary at this stage; compensation will evolve as the company grows and revenue ramps

• Fully remote, flexible work environment
