We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer , a problem-solver who thrives on designing scalable systems, optimizing performance, and building reliable backend architecture that powers real-world businesses.

What You’ll Do:

1. Backend Development & System Design

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern frameworks and best practices.

Develop high-performance APIs and services that power Zid’s core platform.

Optimize database schemas, queries, and system performance for reliability and scale.

Contribute to architectural decisions that support long-term growth.

2. Performance, Reliability & Debugging

Monitor system health and proactively improve performance and stability.

Debug complex production issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Ensure high availability and scalability across services and infrastructure.

Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems.

3. Collaboration & Technical Leadership

Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful features.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Review code, enforce best practices, and improve development workflows.

Maintain clear and structured technical documentation.

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Drive improvements in system architecture, tools, and development processes.

Explore and implement modern technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

Contribute to building scalable microservices and distributed systems.

Stay updated with industry trends and apply them to real business needs.

Who We’re Looking For:

Experience:

5+ years of backend engineering experience in scalable systems.

Strong experience with PHP/Laravel and/or Python/Django.

Proven track record building production-grade applications.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of database design and optimization (MySQL).

Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Solid understanding of software engineering principles and security best practices.

Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Nice to Have:

Experience in SaaS or e-commerce platforms.

Knowledge of TypeScript, NestJS, or modern backend stacks.

Experience with distributed systems, containers, and message queues.

Understanding of scaling, load balancing, and high-availability systems.
