The University of South Asia is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead and deliver innovative software solutions that drive digital transformation across our institution.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Django & Python expert who can architect, build, and optimize enterprise-level systems while leading development projects with ownership and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems using Django and Python

Architect scalable, secure, and modular software solutions aligned with institutional goals

Integrate AI and LLM technologies (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain) for automation and intelligent applications

Manage and optimize databases and APIs, ensuring system reliability and performance

Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful digital projects

Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making and best practices

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack software development

Expert-level proficiency in Django and Python

Strong command of PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, system optimization, and cloud-based deployment

Practical experience integrating AI/ML tools or LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain)

Proven ability to lead development teams and manage software projects from concept to deployment

A creative, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and leadership skills
