Senior Software Engineer – Java & SQL

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and SQL to enhance existing applications and drive the development of new features.

In this role, you will take a lead position in software design, collaborate closely with product engineers, and work alongside support and onsite teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop software patches and implement new features
• Collaborate with product engineers to enhance core platforms and optimize performance
• Write and review technical documents such as design and development specifications
• Create applications using standard and cloud development tools
• Test, debug, and update programs to ensure high-quality performance
• Analyze and modify programs to improve efficiency or address new requirements
• Resolve escalated customer issues from Tier I/II support teams
• Investigate, document, and resolve technical challenges

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software engineering roles
• Expertise in Java and SQL with proficiency in cloud software development tools
• Capability to write and review code in both compiled and scripted languages
• Background in testing, debugging, and maintaining applications
• Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones and work closely with onsite engineers

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of JNI and gRPC with Protocol Buffers
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture Style
