Shape the Business

Develop, own, and execute comprehensive multi-year category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs.

Incorporate corporate social responsibility into strategies, including supplier diversity, ethical sourcing, and sustainability.

Manage a portfolio of projects and deadlines, providing oversight and guidance to ensure successful execution.

Create business cases for sourcing initiatives, considering strategic, financial, and organizational impacts.
Drive Value

Build and execute a value pipeline by leveraging supplier relationships and market insights.

Analyze supplier proposals using financial and non-financial criteria to recommend awards.

Manage strategic suppliers through key business reviews, corrective action plans, and coaching.

Identify and capitalize on supplier-enabled innovation opportunities.
Protect Supply and Reduce Risk
-
Independently lead contracting, including term sheet development and negotiation, ensuring compliance with legal and business standards.

Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks related to ethics, capacity, financial health, and margin protection.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience: 4+ years of sourcing experience preferred.
Skills

Intermediate knowledge of procurement processes, category strategies, supplier management, and risk mitigation.

Strong problem-solving, business acumen, and project management skills.

Ability to influence across peer groups and senior management levels.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills for stakeholder alignment.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with BI tools, Oracle ERS, SAP Ariba, Power BI, Tableau.

If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
