What awaits you in this role?

We are looking for a passionate Senior Specialist – R&D (AI/ML Engineer) who will join our team at RnD Directorate, Beko.

• Design, train, validate, and deploy advanced machine learning and computer vision models, covering the full lifecycle from data collection and preprocessing to production deployment.
• Work with multimodal sensor datasets (cameras, temperature, humidity, weight) to extract insights enabling food recognition, spoilage prediction, cooking optimization, and user-behavior understanding.
• Optimize and adapt AI/ML models for embedded systems, including quantization and deployment on MCUs and SoCs with frameworks like TensorFlow Lite or ONNX Runtime.
• Develop and maintain high-performance AI applications on Linux-based appliances, ensuring real-time and reliable execution.
• Architect and manage cloud-based training and inference pipelines on AWS, GCP, or Azure ML platforms.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art algorithms in vision and edge AI for real-time detection, predictive maintenance, and adaptive control.
• Drive adoption of MLOps practices including CI/CD for ML models, automated testing, model versioning, and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, embedded developers, cloud architects, and product managers to seamlessly integrate AI features into appliances.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and establishing best practices in AI/ML deployment.
• Contribute to innovation through patents and publications, while ensuring all designs meet safety, cybersecurity, and energy-efficiency standards.

Position located in Çayırova, İstanbul.

How do we decribe perfect match?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and edge integration, with hands-on expertise in computer vision.
• Strong proficiency in Python (essential) and C/C++, with extensive use of TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV for model training and vision tasks.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, exploratory analysis, training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of Linux (Yocto, shell scripting, system-level development) and comfort working with embedded Linux environments for AI-enabled devices.
• Proven experience in optimizing ML models for edge deployment: quantization, pruning, and acceleration on NPUs, GPUs, or DSPs.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud ML ecosystem (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML) for training, experimentation, or inference.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to tackle complex, open-ended challenges and deliver robust solutions.
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate secure, energy-efficient, and regulation-compliant practices into product designs.
• Curiosity to explore emerging AI/ML and computer vision techniques and adaptability to new technologies.
