Senior Specialist - Idea Management

Senior Specialist - Idea Management is responsible for overseeing and driving the ideation and innovation processes within the organization. The primary goal will be to foster a culture of creativity and to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative ideas that align with the company's strategic objectives.

  • Responsibilities: Ideation Management:
    • Develop and implement processes and frameworks to encourage and capture innovative ideas from employees, customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and other creative sessions to generate new ideas and solutions.
    • Evaluate and prioritize ideas based on their feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Initiate IBTIKAR Campaigns
    • Participate with potential winning ideas in Awards functions
    Innovation Strategy:
    • Collaborate with senior management to define and refine the organization's innovation strategy.
    • Identify emerging trends and technologies that have the potential to drive innovation and business growth.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about the industry landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation.
    • Update the related innovation and Ibtikar committees with important information.
    Project Management:
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and implementation of innovation projects.
    • Define project goals, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure they are achieved within the specified timelines and budget.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
    Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
    • Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders at various levels to gather feedback, address concerns, and gain support for innovation initiatives.
    • Initiate brainstorming sessions designed for related clusters/Units.

    Performance Tracking and Evaluation:
    • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of innovation initiatives.
    • Regularly assess and evaluate the outcomes of implemented ideas, projects, and programs.
    • Use data and insights to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.

  • Qualifications: Educational and Technical Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Innovation or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

    Language Skills:

    Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage

    Years of Experience:

    A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role

    Nature of Experience:

    Relevant work experience within idea management and continual improvements programs

    In-depth knowledge of Innovation principles, practices, and trends.

    Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

    Strong analytical and research skills.

    Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including AD Ports Group employees, managers, and executives.

    Experience in project management including the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation.

    Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

    A strategic mindset with the ability to align innovative initiatives with the organization’s long term goals and vision.

    Exceptional organizational skills, at ease with ambiguity, ability to deal with high complexity situations, comfortable with a high level of detail yet mindful of the bigger picture.

    Good skills in time management, planning schedule and meeting deadlines.
