Position Summary

The Senior Specialist – Marketing is responsible for handling media communication activities and aligns all communications across HCT to ensure consistent messages are being conveyed to the public. He/she is responsible for the maintenance of social media accounts and websites and for maintaining contacts with local media to ensure the release of positive media coverage

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop HCT’s media communication activities (e.g. speeches, press releases, media briefings, brochures, news conferences, publications, advertisements, promotions, events, digital marketing, etc.) and align all communications across HCT and the entirety of its functions, to maintain that consistent messages are being conveyed to the public.
  • Identify key media channels to build relationships with.
  • Maintain and update a community and media contact database with local and international media to ensure that student achievements and HCT receive frequent and positive media coverage.
  • Send out invitations to the press and prepare press releases.
  • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to publish articles and interviews about student and alumni success stories, projects, international field trips and other best practices at HCT.
  • Develop and update HCT’s website and social media content based on the different functions’ activities and initiatives.
  • Maintain social media accounts and websites, ensuring that a professional and consistent image is established across the social media network.
  • Post news regarding HCT services, activities and announcements on social media platforms.
  • Store and archive website and social media content and maintain access to data as and when required.
  • Respond to stakeholders’ inquiries, suggestions and complaints on social media platforms in coordination with appropriate functions and campuses across HCT.
  • Resolve any technical problems or issues regarding HCT website and social media accounts through coordination with IT.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Business, Marketing, Communications.
  • Full English and Arabic proficiency is required.
  • Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office.
Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in Marketing and Media
