Specialist - Media Relations

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a proactive and skilled Specialist - Media Relations to join our communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing relationships with media outlets, coordinating media activities, and supporting the dissemination of Qiddiya’s key messages to the public through various media channels. Your contribution will be essential in enhancing Qiddiya’s brand reputation and visibility in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional media representatives, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage.
• Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and events to effectively communicate Qiddiya’s initiatives and updates.
• Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to ensure consistent and clear messaging.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports analyzing media sentiment and outreach effectiveness.
• Respond promptly to media inquiries, providing accurate and timely information aligned with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, digital, and corporate communications to align media strategies with overall communication objectives.
• Support crisis communication efforts as needed, working closely with relevant stakeholders to manage messaging.
• Stay updated on media trends and best practices to maximize outreach and engagement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media relationships and secure positive coverage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple media activities simultaneously.
• Experience in monitoring media coverage and preparing analytical reports.
• Ability to handle inquiries professionally and provide accurate information under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with the entertainment or leisure industry is advantageous.
