Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team! This role will manage DDA billing and cost reporting, oversee payroll and benefits administration (including 401(k) coordination), and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with nonprofit and state regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, experience with state-funded or human services programs (DDA experience strongly preferred), and the ability to provide clear financial reporting and insights to leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Manage DDA billing and ensure timely, accurate reimbursements

• Prepare and submit annual DDA cost reports

• Oversee payroll processing, payroll taxes, and reconciliations

• Administer 401(k) plan and coordinate with third-party providers

• Maintain general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end close

• Prepare financial reports for leadership

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits

• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting and state regulations

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit or human services preferred )

• Experience with DDA or state-funded programs strongly preferred

• Payroll and benefits administration experience required
