Senior Staff Accountant

The Role

The Senior Staff Accountant position is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role focused on bank reconciliations, tenant billing, and core accounting operations across multiple entities. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys consistent work, clear processes, and a predictable schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations for 100+ accounts across several institutions.
  • Generate and send monthly rent invoices; record incoming payments
  • Prepare and review AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Record K‑1 allocations, loan payments, and third‑party investment distributions
  • Manage and reconcile company credit card activity through Concur
  • Handle A/R independently and support A/P with the AP specialist
  • Maintain accurate records for active and dormant accounts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 2–3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong reconciliation skills; comfort with high‑volume accounts
  • Experience with Sage and Concur is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work onsite full‑time in Midtown Manhattan

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $85,000–$110,000 + annual bonus
  • 75% employer‑paid healthcare

  • 4 weeks PTO

Work Environment

  • Onsite, Monday–Friday, 9–5
  • No late nights or weekend work
  • Supportive culture, offering flexibility when needed

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
